Sunday, May 17, 2009: 27th annual Nordstrom Beat the Bridge to Beat Diabetes. Please note that Montlake Boulevard closes at 7:30 a.m. on the day of the event.
- 6:45 a.m. On-site Registration Opens
- 8:00 a.m. 4-mile Family Walk
- 8:15 a.m. 1-mile Fun Run
- 8:30 a.m. 8K Race (5 miles)
- 9:00 a.m. Fun on the Field!
- 9:45 a.m. Awards Ceremony
- 10:05 a.m. Diaper Derby
Where
Husky Stadium, Seattle
- Registration, Pledge Collection and Will-Call Day of Event: Under the reader board in the Husky Stadium, West Concourse
- Start: Outside Husky Stadium on Montlake Boulevard
- Finish: Inside Husky Stadium
- Parking: Available on the University of Washington campus. As parking is limited, we encourage you to take the bus, ride a bike or carpool. Parking is available in two lots on east campus--Lot E12, south of Husky Stadium and Lot E1, on Montlake north of Hec Edmundson Pavilion.
Registration
- Entry Fee: $17 per participant; $27 including an official Beat the Bridge T-shirt (on site registration fee is $25/$35 on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17). No entry fee for the Diaper Derby.
- On-line: Register and create your own team, send emails to your friends and family and track your progress! You may also pick up your race materials on Saturday, May 16 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Husky Stadium in the West Concourse area. On-line registrations close at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13.
Post Race Activities
Join in the post-race activities, including the Annual Diaper Derby and Awards Ceremony, on the stadium field after the event. Photographers from Team Photogenic will be there to capture your finish, there will be great giveaways from our sponsors, food samples, music, face painting and other kids' activities.
